MASTODON Shoots Down Rumors Of U.S. Tour With TOOL

November 13, 2006

Atlanta's MASTODON has issued the following update:

"We are trucking away on the TOOL tour here in cold-ass Europe. Having a blast. As always, TOOL is amazing especially to see every night. Tonight we are in Florence, Italy. Earlier in the day we went to Pisa to visit the leaning tower. We also had a piece of pizza in Pisa. Yes, good time as always.

"A lot of you are asking about us and TOOL in the States. I don't think that will happen. We are gearing up for the PRIESTESS / CONVERGE / MASTO tour though in the States, so stay tuned..."

MASTODON made its first national television appearance on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" on November 1. With a Wednesday night viewership of 2.4 million, this was major television exposure for the Atlanta fan favorites, whose critically acclaimed Reprise Records debut album, "Blood Mountain", has sold 54,000 copies in the United States since its release in early September.
